 Diabetes Awareness Program
Empowering Black Women to Take Control of Their Health

At Black Women Will Bloom, we recognize the unique health challenges faced by Black women, particularly in relation to diabetes. Our Diabetes Awareness Program is designed to educate, empower, and uplift our community, fostering a culture of health and wellness.

 Understanding the Impact of Diabetes

Diabetes is a significant health issue affecting millions of Americans, with Black women being disproportionately impacted. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

- 1 in 4 Black women aged 55 and older have diabetes.

- Black adults are 60% more likely** to be diagnosed with diabetes than their white counterparts.

- The prevalence of diabetes among Black women is double that of white women.

These statistics highlight the urgent need for targeted intervention and education within our community. Diabetes not only affects physical health but can also have profound implications for mental well-being and overall quality of life.

 Our Program Objectives
